Put off poetry at school? How did they manage to make it so boring? From Coleridge to Hughes, from Plath to Blake, from Atwood to Thomas, we will work together to find the meaning, beauty and relevance of the classics and contemporary poetry.

Each week we will look at a pair of thematically linked and utterly brilliant poems and work out what makes them so great. You may not finish the course liking poetry, but course tutor Harriet thinks you just might.
