Step-by-step, course tutor Catherine Beale will help you to create a loose watercolour over an expressive "scaffold" of pen line. Watch how the luminous, merging colours contrast with crisp pen detail for an attractive, illustrative finish.
Those of you who have attended the Dive into Watercolours classes will recognise Catherine's "gravity painted" watercolours. This is a stand-alone day so she will explain all the techniques that you will need, even if you have not attended before. Watch her demonstrations and try for yourself while gathering tips, from composition to colour.
When Catherine is not teaching, she works to exhibition and commissions and writes about her watercolours in The Artist Magazine. She is a member of the Society of Women Artists and exhibits regularly with the Bath Society of Artists.
