Michael Loveday is passionate about sharing his love of literature and creative writing, and introducing students to new writers, or new ways of seeing familiar texts. He has delivered over 1,000 hours of workshops in the past five years as a literature and writing tutor in community and Higher education, including for The Institute, Advanced Studies in England, the Open Age Network, the Bath Flash Fiction Festival and the National Association of Writers in Education.
He has a degree in English Literature from Merton College, Oxford University, and studied Creative Writing as a postgraduate at both Newcastle and Kingston Universities. His own writing (short stories, poetry and book reviews) is forthcoming / published in UK and international journals such as The Spectator, Flash: The International Short-Short Story Magazine; Funny Bone: Flashing for Comic Relief; and Lung Jazz: Young British Poets for Oxfam.
