An introduction into using charcoal to capture the landscape around us, moving into colourful soft pastel throughout the course.

Abigail will show you the wide range of drawing possibilities available from the humble stick of charcoal. You will explore different types (willow and compressed) and how they can help you capture different elements. Discover how different erasers can capture light and enhance your drawing. How adding colour in the form of Soft Pastel or a watercolour wash can reflect the colours we see around us. All this whilst looking at the beautiful Somerset landscape as our inspiration.
