S.T. Coleridge wrote all his great poetry while living in Somerset. In this 5-week course, we'll explore such poems as Kubla Khan, The Rime of the Ancient Mariner, Frost at Midnight and This Lime-Tree Bower My Prison.

We'll look at how and why Coleridge came to be living and working in Somerset — and why Somerset represented a hugely significant turning-point in his life.

The course tutor Rob Hollier is the author of 'Meditation for the Rest of Us: boosting optimism in a dark and dangerous world' and the author of a book on Coleridge due to be published in 2027.
