Please note includes half term week

A 5-week course exploring a range of drawing techniques in an engaging and experimental way. You will cover line, mark-making, tone, form, texture, composition, basic perspective, pattern, scale, and colour.

Through direct observation, and the use of your imagination, skills will be developed as a progression of building blocks to build confidence. Small objects brought in, still-life arrangements and your local surrounds will provide the stimulus for the work, and we will look at different themes each session.

Media will include: graphite, charcoal, pastels, and inks (including homemade botanical inks), using a range of drawing tools.  Individual responses will be encouraged, and we will use eco-friendly materials and approaches.

Each technique covers a fundamental aspect of art and is a great springboard to art appreciation and theory.

Suitable for mixed abilities: beginners and intermediate.
There will be an additional charge of £5 for materials
