Jane Austen and Bath are intrinsically linked. Although it is said that she did not like the city, it played a key part in her development as an author. As well as setting two of her novels there, she was a resident between 1801 and 1806.
This course will explore the relationship between author and city and dispel many myths that have grown around this most formative period of her life.
