Improve your sense of wellbeing, in body, mind and spirit! Fun and friendly, this is a gentle yoga class where you don't have to be super flexible or have a bionic body!
Gentle yoga teacher, Elaine Marie Ewens will guide you through a series of postures, plus breathing, sound and visualisation practises. By individual attention she will aim to ensure you stretch and strengthen yourself in a safe and healthy way.
Elaine also runs a Thursday morning class at the Dance Centre
A different theme will be explored each term – for example balance or happiness - creating a light hearted but insightful entry into the world of yoga and yourself. The style of yoga is in the Krishnamacharya/Desikachar tradition where the practise is modified to fit the individual. The breath is key, intending to create a serene, meditative state in the practitioner.
No prior experience of yoga is needed; beginners are really welcome. Both men and women are encouraged and the classes are suitable for most abilities and ages.
You have amazing teaching skills and it is really heart warming and uplifting to be in your classes. They say 'teaching is a work of Heart' and you certainly reflect that.

This has been a wonderful experience. I always thought yoga would be difficult, but you made it easy for us. You took great care of us all, seeing we didn't injure ourselves and gave us clear guidance. Thank you.
